April Brooks Bragg has spent the past 12 years helping small businesses, nonprofits and associations develop effective marketing campaigns, branding strategies and event planning models to grow their organization.<!--break-->
Since age 4, April has used her voice to entertain family, friends and colleagues. Today, she uses it to voice concerns of Milledgeville’s business community as chief executive officer of Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce. In this role, April spends her time networking with local businesses and aiding in the recruitment of new businesses to help strengthen the local job market. She collaborates with citizens to identify and develop solutions to local issues affecting the community. April’s greatest strength lies is creating vision, building support and developing partnerships within the community to achieve ambitious goals.
An emerging young leader, April is leading her organization with innovative approaches to engaging members and connecting the community through the use of technology and social media. She is a natural trainer, and possesses an innate ability to bridge the knowledge gap between those who “do” and those who know “how to get it done” serving as the Chief Connections Officer of the Milledgeville-Baldwin County. April is a member of this year’s Leadership Baldwin Class and also serves on Milledgeville MainStreet Board of Directors. April is also the host of “MBC Connect,” a local business and community TV news show that will debut later this month. She lives in Milledgeville with her husband and their two children, Abi and Drew - who are the “why” behind all that she does. This working mother also enjoys serving her community and spending time with family and friends.
