April First Friday Features Live Music, Egg Hunt

April's First Friday brings events for families and friends to enjoy in Downtown Milledgeville.

The fun happens from 6-9 p.m.:

  • R. Stanley Sketchbook Kid's Activity Corner: A clown entertains, make and decorate a percussion egg.
  • Musician Elton Parks performs jazz outside of Digital Bridges on West Hancock St.
  • Georgia College Jazz Combo performs on South Wayne St.
  • Dave Scott on Guitar
  • Free Lance Ruckus performs
  • Egg Hunt: Eggs will be hidden outside downtown. Each egg will have a voucher  for a variety of $20 gift certificates to over 20 downtown businesses. If you find an egg, take it to the Main Street Office to redeem your gift certificate. One egg per person.

Also, stop by Oconee Area Citizen Advocacy (OACA) as they kick of their ticket sales to the ‘Not Your Mama’s Garden Tour’. Tickets are $15 and the event will be held on April 21st.

Milledgeville Farmers' Market Opens in April

The Milledgeville Marketplace opens with a celebrations on Tuesday April 3rd from 4-7p.m., a Milledgeville Main Street and Downtown Development Authority news release says. 

That's at 222 E. Hancock Street in Downtown Milledgeville.

During the celebration, you'll find live entertainment featuring T. P. and Sandra Holloman, who are local bluegrass entertainers.
