GIPA recently discussed the growing problem of unofficial sites popping up along Hwy. 341 that are often confusing to visitors and are putting the fundraising efforts and the future of Peaches to the Beaches Annual Yard Sale at risk. In a effort to educate, GIPA has issued the following letter.

Central State Hospital to Test Tornado Alert Sirens

MILLEDGEVILLE, GA.--Central State Hospital is scheduled to run a test of the tornado alert sirens at 5 p.m. on February 3, 2012 and will be participating in a statewide tornado drill on Wednesday February 8, 2012.

CSH will be activating the Siren Alert System during these times. The Siren Alarm System will sound for a one to two minute period and this will be done twice. This will only be a drill.

2012 Milledgeville Baldwin 17th Annual Chamber Golf Classic

The 2012 Milledgeville-Baldwin 17th Annual Chamber Golf Classic will be held on Monday, April 16th at the Milledgeville Country Club.

The tournament will include a shotgun start, lunch, mini-contests on the course, a closing cocktail reception with awards ceremony and golf ball drop. Chamber members are invited to join the tournament at one of three team levels, although individual team spots are available.
