Benefit Golf Tournament

The Central State Hospital Foundation Culver Kidd Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on April 16.

The event will be held at Little Fishing Creek in Milledgeville.

Registration for the four-man scramble begins at 9 a.m.

The Central State Hospital Foundation funds scholarships for Nurse Education, Continuing Education Seminars, Employee Recognition Programs and Retirement Programs.

Animal Rescue Holds Auction

Animal Rescue Foundation's (ARF) 2011 Annual Auction will be held Saturday, March 5.

The event will be held at the Milledgeville Country Club starting at 5:30 p.m.

The Silent & Live Auctions will include heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.

Tickets are $35 at the door.

Downtown Annnounces March First Friday Theme

The theme for this First Friday event is “I’rish I was Downtown”, playing off of St. Patrick’s Day.

That is according to a Milledgeville Main Street/Downtown Development Authority news release.

Participating merchants will be competing in a window decorating contest based on the theme and will be judged for creativity, originality, impact and integration of the Irish theme.

Several restaurants will be offering green drink specials and Fields Photography and Framing will have St. Patrick’s Day props for the photo booth.

Animal Rescue Foundation Holds 13th Annual Auction

The Animal Rescue Foundation, Inc. (ARF) will hold its 13th annual auction for the animals on Saturday, March 5 starting at 6 p.m. at the Milledgeville Country Club.

items will be sold during the silent and live auctions.

Some of the items include:

Low Country Boil for 8-10 people

Watercolor Painting by artist Berry Smith

Wrought Iron Table & Chairs with Cushions

Autographed baseball bat by former Atlanta Braves player, Jeff Francoeur

Keg party at Chops in downtown Milledgeville

Heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available.

Tickets are $35 per person.

Digital Bridges Hosts Flip Camera Workshop

Digital Bridges’ staff members Daniel McDonald and Colin Moore will lead a two-part workshop on recording video with the Flip Video Camera and using Flipshare software to share your content with anyone.

The workshop will take place Saturday, February 12 at 11 a.m.

Due to camera availability, this workshop is limited to eight people.
