Town Hall Meeting Tonight

A town hall meeting will be held tonight, April 7 at 6 p.m.

The meeting will be held to discuss property tax issues and will take place in the Board of Education auditorium.

This meeting is hosted by the Baldwin County Board of Commissioners.

HOPE Scholarship Listening Tour

The Hope Scholarship Listening Tour is today, Tuesday March 5 at the GCSU Arts & Sciences Auditorium.

This is the second stop of a statewide listening tour in which members of the Special Committee are traveling across the state to discuss the changes in the HOPE Scholarship and listen to concerns of students, parents and educators.

State legislators will host a town hall-style event at 12 p.m. in the Arts & Sciences Auditorium.

It was a busy week under the Gold Dome as lawmakers debated some very controversial topics. Legislation regarding Sunday sales and firearm regulation were debated and eventually approved by the State Senate.  These bills protect your rights as citizens of Georgia. They also get state government out of the way and let local governments and property owners make their own decisions.

Baldwin County has grown in population by two percent.

In 2010, according to the U.S. Census, the population was up to 45,720 people.

That's up from the 44,700 people reported in the 2000 Census.
