Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Lamar Hill, 80, of Americus, formerly of Cochran, who died Thursday, March 8, 2012 will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday in the Chapel of Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
Mr. Hill was born in Bleckley County, the son of the late Lamar and Carolyn Brown Hill. He was a graduate of Georgia Military College. He attended Middle Georgia College before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force after which he worker for G.B. Hill Lumber Company and later worked for Middle Georgia College as supervisor of Central Storage. He later moved to Americus, where he worked for Georgia Southwestern College as assistant Comptroller and Director of Business Services. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Americus. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and a devoted husband and father.
Survivors include his wife, Cleon L. Hill of Americus; two daughters, Karen H. (Frank) Killingsworth of Fortson, Georgia and Susan H. (Mike)Lambert of Chelsea, Alabama; four grandchildren, Perri Lambert, Colby Lambert, Bryton Killingsworth and Kaden Killingsworth; sister, Garnette H. Boyer of Milledgeville.
The family will meet friends following the service on Monday.
Fisher Funeral Home of Cochran has charge of arrangements.
