Reward increases to $10K in Milledgeville drive-by shootings
News

The reward for any information leading to an arrest of the people involved in 15 drive-by shootings in Milledgeville has increased to $10,000.

State Representative Rusty Kidd put up $3,000 of his personal money toward the reward. He said he will contribute an extra $500 Wednesday.

Kidd says two other business owners who want to remain anonymous put up $1,000 each of their own money.

Milledgeville business owner Dan Tomlin gave $2,500. Another $2,000 comes from the Milledgeville Police Department and Macon Regional Crime Stoppers.

Kidd says the community must come together to put a stop to the violence.

"I encourage other business owners to do the same," he said. "We need to put a stop to this. Hopefully this money will entice someone to come forward."

Anyone with information on the shootings is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
