News

Georgia College announced that it received accolades from U.S. News and World Report for two of the college's online graduate programs.

The news magazine said that Georgia College's Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Nursing Program were on the "2014 Best Online Education" list.

The online MBA program is 17th, tied with several others.

In a statement, the interim dean of the College of Business Dale Young said this is the second year in a row that the college's WebMBA program has been ranked by U.S. News and World Report.

Georgia College has had its WebMBA program for 13 years. Six other universities in the University System of Georgia also offer the online program.

This was the first time the nursing program was recognized by U.S. News and World Report and also the first year it was eligible for the honor.

Dr. Sandra Gangstead, the dean of the College of Health Sciences, said the program just recently moved to a totally online format.
