Celebrate Credit Union Youth Week with Robins Federal Credit Union

Robins Federal Credit Union will host a free community event and contests for the entire Middle Georgia community during National Credit Union Youth Week, April 19-26.

Robins Federal Credit Union kicks off its celebration of youth week on Friday, April 19 at 8:00 p.m. with a free outdoor movie featuring the Disney movie “Brave” in the parking lot of the 803 Watson Blvd. branch in Warner Robins. This free event is for the entire family.

Robins Federal Credit Union is also hosting the following two contests during Credit Union Youth Week:

Milledgeville's SouthCreek Mud Boggin' has been featured as one of  Georgia Travel Guide's "100 Heart-Pounding Adrenaline-Pumping Georgia Adventures."

"Prepare for a day of dirty big-wheel fun," the magazine notes.

They're located at 2949 Hwy 441 in Milledgeville.

Downtown Milledgeville is one of the stops on the 2013 Georgia Cities Heart and Soul Bus Tour. The tour will take place on April 3rd from 1:00pm until 2:20pm. The public is invited to come out and welcome the visitors on the tour with the city officials, business leaders, and the Main Street staff as they arrive downtown at Allen’s Market.

The Heart and Soul Bus Tour is sponsored by Georgia Municipal Association and the Georgia Cities Foundation, and their goal is to educate and inform state agency heads, business leaders, downtown developers, and philanthropists on the importance of successful downtown development as well as the way downtowns are being revitalized.

Two-Day Music Festival to Benefit Children's Miracle Network

The two-day bar crawl called "Sounds of the South" features 31 bands.

Admission is free and drink specials are available for $7.

Proceeds benefit the Children's Miracle Network.

The Georgia Military College Steinway Concert Series will present world-renowned pianist Olga Kern on Saturday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the Goldstein Center for the Performing Arts. 

Now recognized as one of her generation’s great pianists, Olga Kern’s career began one decade ago with her award winning gold-medal performance at the Eleventh Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2001. Her second catapulting triumph came in New York City on May 4, 2004, with a highly acclaimed New York City recital debut at Carnegie’s Zankel Hall. In an unprecedented turn of events, Olga gave a second recital eleven days later in Isaac Stern Auditorium at the invitation of Carnegie Hall.

Milledgevillians Invited to St. Patrick's Day at the Greenway

The Milledgeville community is invited to the Second Annual St. Patrick's Day at the Oconee River Greenway Park Saturday.

The event will feature the Greenway Farmers Market, arts and crafts as well as family yoga, a pettizing zoo, face painting and live music, according to the release.

That's from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.  on Saturday, March 16.
