Five Milledgeville burglaries in a week | Crime
Three men have been charged in connection with a pawn shop burglary and one man has been charged with burglary at four different businesses in Milledgeville.
According to Milledgeville police, three men burglarized Northside Pawn Shop around 1:45 a.m. Sunday morning.
When police arrived, one man was allegedly inside the business and a bag of electronic items was right outside a side door of the business.
They found two other suspects riding around in a Honda accord, after matching tire prints from outside the store.
According to a news release, Dartanyon Wheeler, 17, is charged with one count of burglary, John Grable, 20, and Reginald Johnson, 22, are charged with one count of burglary and giving a false name.
Last weekend, one man allegedly broke into four Milledgeville businesses: The Great Wall Restaurant on Saturday, March 8, then CT Nails and Spa on March 9 and Jet Food Store on March 10 and took cash from each location. Then, after the suspect was already in custody, officers were called out to Northside Loans for a burglary.
While watching surveillance video, police say, they saw a suspect leaving with a bubble gum machine, wearing gloves that matched the gloves they later found at Trawick's property while he was in custody.
Richard Trawick will be charged with four counts of burglary, according to the news release.
