Who: PLAN is a group of concerned citizens who are interested in our community and its ability to effectively manage our rapid growth and all the challenges that come with that growth.  PLAN strives to encompass representatives from every area and organization within the community.

Task force to make DFCS head report to governor

(WXIA) -- Gov. Nathan Deal's office is preparing an announcement on changes to organizational structure at the Division of Family and Children Services, sources tell 11Alive's Rebecca Lindstrom.

According to the sources, DFCS will be separate from DHS and the head of DFCS will report directly to the governor instead of the commissioner.

Man wins $20K at Milledgeville store

A Sparta man won $20K in Milledgeville and is now planning a wedding anniversary trip to celebrate.

Jason Perry says he went to Quik Stop, played the instant-win ticket in his car, and "felt like a deer in the headlights" when he realized he won, according to a release.

He's been married two years and he and his wife are planning a vacation with the winnings to celebrate their anniversary.
