As parents and students are often made aware, choosing the right college can be a daunting task because of the amount of thought and dedication that must be given to the decision. For me as a student with a disability, choosing Georgia College was nearly a no-brainer. And here's why:
The people, in the Georgia College and Milledgeville communities, are fantastic. Coming from a relatively small suburb of Atlanta and growing up in what most would call a "bubble," I am quite accustomed to knowing everything about everyone with whom I associated. When I came to Milledgeville for the first time as a high school junior, I immediately understood that Milledgeville wasn't just Georgia's antebellum capitol, but it was also a community, a home, and a resting place.
