Marlor House Features Photography Exhibit | Arts & Culture
“Images From Travel, Near and Far” is an exhibition of new works by photographer David Veal that will open on Sunday, October 14 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Marlor House, 201 North Wayne Street, Milledgeville. The public is invited to meet the artist and view his works at the opening reception.
Veal has been practicing photography for over thirty years. His work has been exhibited on book jackets, in magazines, on CD covers as well as in many group and one-person shows. His photographs are in private collections in the US and Europe. Veal has never limited himself to a particular subject matter, rather allowing his work to be more a response to the individual sense of time and place. Most recently his work was included in the Jekyll Island Authority’s book, “Jekyll Island-The Nearest Faraway Place”.
Allied Arts director Randy Cannon notes, “Allied Arts invites the public to see the exhibition and meet Veal at the Sunday, October 14 opening reception from 1:00 to 3:00 pm”. “Images of Travel, Near and Far” will be on display through November 9. Gallery hours are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. There is no admission fee charged to visit the gallery.
