Submitted by Milledgeville Main Street: Milledgeville, GA- On May 18th 2014 Milledgeville was named a Great American Main Street City. This nationwide award recognizes Milledgeville as one of the finest downtown areas in America. This prestigious award is given to communities that exemplify the use of the Main Street Approach to revitalization of their traditional downtowns and/or business districts.
