Heart Pine Brings Bluegrass Music to Allen's Market in Milledgeville

Heart Pine, a bluegrass band based in Central Georgia, will perform in Allen's Market Friday, September 6 at 7:30 pm.  Tickets for the performance are $10.00 each and can be purchased at the Marlor House from 9-4:30 pm M-F or online at www.milledgevillealliedarts.com .  The Marlor House is located at 201 North Wayne Street; Allen’s Market Building is located  at 101 West McIntosh Street in downtown Milledgeville. 

Heart Pine band members are accomplished musicians who play a variety of instruments and have been playing together for eight years.  According to band member Andy Adams, “The band members come from a variety of backgrounds but share an appreciation of traditional bluegrass music.” Adams plays guitar and sings lead vocals. He is minister at Milledgeville's Covenant Presbyterian Church. Lynn Dugger has extensive experience playing the five string banjo in the Earl Scruggs style. By day, Dugger is an engineer at Triumph Industries. Jason Lowe is an electrician and plays string bass, mandolin, guitar and sings lead and back-up vocals for Heart Pine. Aubrey Nelson is a retired wood designer and fabricator and plays dobro and sings baritone. Mark Squires plays fiddle and is retired from the United States military.
