The Milledgeville Downtown Development Authority announced a new small business grant program just last week. This week, the website is ready for viewing and will fully inform the community of the ins and outs of the program. Businesses and interested community members alike can learn how BOOST works and how to apply or become an investment member.

The website is easy to maneuver and will be updated regularly to reflect meeting dates, application deadlines and stories from the media. Online visitors will be able to get information on being a BOOST member and/or view the application process and review a list of FAQ’s. The DDA encourages feedback through the ‘Contact’ tab as well.

“The dedication from Digital Bridges to quickly create and update the website has been a tremendous help in getting this program off the ground”, said Downtown Development Authority board and Charter BOOST member Donna Collins.

The DDA thinks it is time to show some action and this will send the message that small business owners and entrepreneurs are extremely important to Downtown Milledgeville. Boost will provide businesses with much-needed financial support and encourage dialogue and collaboration between business owners and the community.

Through grants of up to $1,000 to businesses and only a $200 per year commitment from investors, this program is small but will make a much needed impact, or shall we say BOOST, for the downtown small businesses. Similar to the Shop Local Milledgeville concept, this program aims to encourage local investments into our small business community. BOOST is a small start to big solutions needed in Milledgeville for our economy. Make an investment in your community and join the program today!

Visit the site at www.boostmilledgeville.com. Anyone who has questions about the group can contact the Downtown Development Authority/ Milledgeville Main Street at 478-414-4014.
