The Greenway Foundation, in concert with a graduate non-profit management class at Georgia College & State University, wants to update the community on its progress in building the corridor along the Oconee River as a natural resource for all Milledgeville-Baldwin County, as well as the entire State of Georgia, to share and celebrate.

The Greenway Foundation will hold a public information meeting at 7 p.m., Thursday, December 9 in the Knight Community Innovation Center, located at 127 W. Hancock St. in downtown Milledgeville. Anyone interested is encouraged to come out and learn more about the Greenway Foundation and how it is working to bring the community together through the planning, creation and maintenance of recreational resources along the Oconee River Corridor.

Since 2002, the Oconee River Greenway Foundation has worked to improve the quality of life in the communities along the Oconee River Corridor by improving access to recreational and informational resources about the community’s natural and archeological heritage.
