Christmas at Lockerly

Featuring hundreds of candles, sparkling trees and traditional holiday decor, this is an event for the entire family to enjoy! 

Children can experience Santa's Workshop while the parents listen to holiday music.  Suggested donation is $5 per person.

Dec. 4, 6pm-8 p.m.; Dec. 10 6 p.m.-8 p.m.; Dec. 11, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Christmas Preview at the Brown-Stetson-Sanford House

On Tuesday, Nov. 30, visitors will have an opportunity to enjoy the decorations, vote on the Gingerbread House entries, sample wines and tasty holiday fare, and bid on antiques and collectibles at the Preview Party and Silent Auction.

Members of Georgia's Old Capital Museum are invited to a MEMBERS ONLY Sneak Peek from 4-5 p.m.

The admission ticket ($25) for the Preview Party & Auction includes a museum membership ($25 value) and gift wrapped for holiday giving.

Jazz for the Holidays

 Ted Howe, Theresa Hightower and the Trio will reinvent holiday music in this virtuostic presentation on Dec. 2, 2010 at 7 p.m.

General admission is $40 and students are $5.00.  Advance tickets may be purchased from the Office of Advancement at 478-387-4840 or at the door the night of the concert.

The concert will be held at the Goldstein Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of GMC.

A coffee and dessert reception with the artists will follow the concert.

Holiday Lights Display

From Nov. 26 through Dec. 31, come out for a lights display and pictures with Santa!  Let the children enjoy free e-mail pictures in Santa's sleigh! 

Display lights will only be available Monday through Thursday. Participants can park and walk at their leisure.

Drive five miles north of the Milledgeville Mall to Sportsman Club Road between Serenity Spa and Ace Hardware.  The lights dispaly will be located at the third right to 101 Sportsman Circle. 

Available from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6:30-9:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

Old Governor's Mansion Christmas Candlelight Tours

Celebrate a true Antebellum Christmas at the Old Governor's Mansion with a candlelight tour on Dec. 11, 14, and 18 at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Tickets are $10 per person, $7 seniors, and $2 for students. 

Homes for the Holidays

On Dec. 11, tour historic homes in Georgia's Antebellum Capital and experience holiday celebrations of the spirited Old South! 

Featuring beautiful antebellum mansions and private homes, the tour will provide visitors and opportunity to witness period decorations and costumed docents at each location.  Cider will be available at the Mistletoe Market as well as Santa's Workshop for children.

Homes are open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and tickets are $12 for adults (children 10 & under are free). Tours are self-guided and tickets will be available at the Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB).  Tickets and maps will be available at the CVB office the day of the tour. Toys for Tots Fundraiser

On Saturday, Nov. 27, Wrestling Overload will hold its annual Toys for Tots drive at the Centennial Center Championship. 

Proceeds and toys collected at this event will go to Toys for Tots in an effort to make Christmas better for area children. 

Doors will open at 7 p.m. and Belltime is 7:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $6 (or $4 with a new unwrapped toy), Kids 6-12 $3 and kids 5 & under are free.  All college students with a college i.d. will also be admitted for only $3!! 

In the main event of the evening, eight men will step inside the 15-foot high steel cage for a match in pro wrestling,  "War Games."  Two teams of four men will battle as Power Trip (Derrick Andrew Reynolds, Chris Nelms, Kyle Hendrix & Brandon Kage) meet American Glory (Bobby Joiner & Chris Storm) and New Generation (TW James & Tommy Lee).
